First Disposable Camera Shoot

This was an odd shoot. Like I said in my disposable camera ideas post, I wanted to take photographs that highlighted people's personification of vehicles, and my relationship with my bike, and how I trust it with my life almost daily. I wanted a couple shots mid-ride, so I took the camera with me while I was doing 40mph down some A road somewhere. In hindsight, this was a very foolish and irresponsible thing for me to do, and it could have ended very badly. I tried to pay no attention to the camera at all, but sometimes it took me out of my concentration which had the potential of being fatal. I probably won't recreate this again unless I was in a very controlled environment, which 65mph down Bluebell Hill isn't.

I haven't seen the photographs yet because I haven't developed the film, so this was more of a shoot evaluation post. Since I wasn't paying too much attention to the camera, the shots might not look incredible, but there might be a few that bring the series to life. That way, I can order the series so that it looks it's best.

Not all photographs were taken in such dangerous conditions however, a few of them were taken while the bike was parked.

I also tried the classic technique of slamming the camera against your hand to make a double exposure, but I don't think it worked at all. We'll see though. I also think that some of the shots won't come out because I didn't always use the flash, which sometimes is vital to the development of the photographs. Again, we'll see how they turned out.

I'm not sure about what I'd like to do in terms of post processing. I'm thinking about doing some film souping, but it isn't really necessary or meaningful in this sense. My first thought in this strain was to tie the film to a piece of string and leave the canister in the petrol tank for a few minutes, but that would mess up the fluid tanks in the developing machine, which would ruin everyone else's film, which would be selfish. The only post processing I think I'll do is just to increase contrast and saturation in some editing software just because disposables are often terrible in those regards.
